NADCO is doing our part to make our print labels more eco-friendly and we are committed to continuing to take other bold steps towards greater environmental stewardship, such as:
- Upgrading outdated equipment for greater energy efficiency
- Collaborating with HP to secure more sustainable materials, including their eco-friendly line of ElectroInks
- Leveraging HP’s oil-based 6K Press to clean and repurpose imaging oil into a parts-cleaning solution
- Harnessing the distilled water produced by our site-wide dehumidifiers to supply our press-wash system
- Relying on flexo presses designed for water-based inks and primers instead of traditional solvents
- Partnering with a third-party material-recycling specialist to repurpose and recycle packaging waste
- Prioritizing vendors with robust commitments to environmental sustainability
Eco-Friendly Inks
NADCO proudly relies on HP’s innovative Indigo 6K Digital Press and ElectroInks, an eco-friendly alternative to standard inks made from energy-intensive processes involving heavy metals, aromatic amines, and other harmful substances. By contrast, HP Indigo ElectroInks are certified “OK to compost” and leverage a breakthrough Liquid Electrophotographic (LEP) printing technology that functions well with more natural resources.
Further, the Indigo 6K Digital Press was independently certified by Intertek for various measures of environmental sustainability.
NADCO is also equipped with fast-curing UV inks, which do not require additional coatings or laminates. UV inks also don’t release volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the atmosphere, reducing harm to the environment, consumers, and workforces alike.

NADCO’s label stock contains a high quantity of post-consumer waste whenever possible, reducing the need to consume more resources to begin with.

Our eco-friendly labels are also fully recyclable. While not all of our pressure-sensitive labels are recyclable (due to their adhesive), we’re currently introducing more specialized and recyclable adhesive alternatives.

NADCO’s eco-friendly labels use raw materials that quickly regrow in their natural environments, including sugar cane, bamboo, potato, and corn.
Compostable
Compostable
By using organic, raw materials, our labels are highly compostable and rapidly break down into their constituent elements. Not to be confused with biodegradable, compostable materials can actually replenish the environment they return to, much like a fertilizer.
LEED-Certified Eco-Friendly Labels Company
NADCO is honored to be the first manufacturing company in Florida granted a LEED Silver building certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The Silver building certificate reflects our facility’s stringent standards for environmentally sustainable building practices, including:
